Smelting Method
Vacuum melting + electrostatic remelting (ESR): the process of vacuum induction melting (VIM) or vacuum arc remelting (VAR) combined with ESR is adopted to significantly reduce the content of inclusions such as oxides and sulfides, and improve the purity and micro-structure uniformity of the material;
Process Characteristics
Multi-stage heat treatment: including spheroidizing annealing (temperature control in 5 stages: holding at 780 ℃ → holding at 880 ℃ → fast cooling to 810 ℃ → slow cooling to 680 ℃ → furnace cooling to 550 ℃), optimizing carbide distribution and improving machinability;
High temperature quenching + tempering: the quenching temperature is about 1000 – 1050 ℃, and the tempering temperature is 500 – 600 ℃ to ensure the balance of high hardness and toughness;
Purity
Ultra-low inclusions: in line with AISI E45 standard, non-metallic inclusions (a sulfide, B alumina, etc.) grade ≤ grade 1.0, some can reach grade 0.5 (such as Sweden ultra-clean steel level), excellent polishing performance (up to # 15000 eye surface);
