Basic Information

1.2343 mold steel belongs toElectroslag RemeltingHot Work Tool Steel, with uniform material and excellent cutting and polishing properties, possessing good high toughness and high plasticity, outstanding high wear resistance and overall hardening performance at both high and low temperatures.

Characteristics of 1.2343 Mold Steel:

1. High heat resistance hot work tool steel, 2. Excellent toughness and ductility in all directions, 3. High heat fatigue resistance and wear resistance, 4. Can be nitrided, 5. Good polishability, 6. Good dimensional stability, 7. Better hardenability, 8. Better isotropy than conventional smelting steel, 9. Can also be used for cold work molds,

1.2343 Heat Treatment:

Forging Soft Annealing Hardening Tempering

1050-850℃ 820-840℃ 1000-1030℃ 530-680℃

Purity: According to ASTM E45 Method A, A sulfides ≤0.5, B oxides, C silicates, and D spheroidal oxides each ≤1 or DIN 50602-K1 ≤10 or according to customer requirements.

Steel Factory Condition: Soft annealed, good microstructure, hardness up to 229HB or tempered to customer requirements.

Application Condition:30-53HRC.

1. Die-casting molds (core, insert, mold core, runner cone, nitrided ejector pin,)

2. Extrusion molds (core, mold pad, flow block,)

3. Hot pressing forming molds for aluminum, copper, magnesium,

4. Cold punching, hot shearing, compression rings, and wear-resistant components,
